{"id":50957,"date":"2016-11-24T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2016-11-23T23:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.santpol.edu.es\/whats-new-in-the-michelin-guide-spain-and-portugal-2017\/"},"modified":"2016-11-24T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2016-11-23T23:00:00","slug":"whats-new-in-the-michelin-guide-spain-and-portugal-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.santpol.edu.es\/en\/blog\/whats-new-in-the-michelin-guide-spain-and-portugal-2017\/","title":{"rendered":"What&#8217;s new in the Michelin Guide Spain and Portugal 2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><span id=\"result_box\" class=\"\" lang=\"en\" tabindex=\"-1\"><span class=\"\">Two alumni of Sant Pol awarded in the gala of the Michelin Guide.<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n<h3><span id=\"result_box\" class=\"\" lang=\"en\" tabindex=\"-1\"><span class=\"\">Xavier Pellicer (owner of C\u00e9leri and alumni) recovers his Michelin star becoming the 3rd alumni of Sant Pol with star.<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n<h3><span id=\"result_box\" class=\"\" lang=\"en\" tabindex=\"-1\"><span class=\"alt-edited\">The restaurant Lasarte of Mart\u00edn Berasategui in Barcelona new three stars.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<p><span id=\"result_box\" class=\"\" lang=\"en\" tabindex=\"-1\"><span class=\"\">Yesterday, November 23, 2016 was the great night of gastronomy with the launch of the new edition of the <strong>Michelin Guide Spain and Portugal<\/strong>, the reference guide in the valuation of restaurants.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-15237 \" src=\"http:\/\/santpol.edu.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/foto_3150068_1_630x630-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"186\" height=\"171\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"result_box\" class=\"\" lang=\"en\" tabindex=\"-1\"><span class=\"\">In this edition have marked several novelties that have been waiting in recent days, especially that of the new &#8220;triestrellado&#8221;, the <strong>restaurant Lasarte of Mart\u00edn Berasategui.<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"result_box\" class=\"\" lang=\"en\" tabindex=\"-1\"><span class=\"\">Lasarte, located in the Monument Hotel 5 * GL in Barcelona gets its third Michelin star.<\/span> <span class=\"\">With chef <strong>Paolo Casagrande<\/strong> in charge of the stoves and <strong>Joan Carles Ib\u00e1\u00f1ez<\/strong> directing the room, it has become <strong>the first restaurant in Barcelona with three stars<\/strong> and has allowed Mart\u00edn Berasategui to <strong>become the first Spanish cook with two Michelin three star restaurants.<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"result_box\" class=\"\" lang=\"en\" tabindex=\"-1\"><span class=\"\">In the other distinctions, there are seven restaurants that obtained their second Michelin star and twenty-two new one stars, in total have been distributed in this edition thirty new stars.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"result_box\" class=\"\" lang=\"en\" tabindex=\"-1\">The novelties in obtaining Michelin stars in Catalonia have been several. New restaurants have been recognized with exceptional cuisines that offer a unique experience. <strong><span class=\"\">With the new edition of the Michelin guide there are three alumni of Sant Pol who are starred and recognized for their gastronomy: Ramon Freixa, Miquel Aldana and Xavier Pellicer.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-15240 \" src=\"http:\/\/santpol.edu.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/xpellicerr-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"425\" height=\"256\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"result_box\" class=\"\" lang=\"en\" tabindex=\"-1\"><span class=\"\"><strong>Xavier Pellicer<\/strong>, chef of <strong>C\u00e9leri (Barcelona)<\/strong> and alumni of the Hotel-School of Sant Pol de Mar, has recovered his star after his long professional career: he was Head Chef at \u00c0bac restaurant (Barcelona) where he obtained two stars, and also<\/span> <span class=\"\">worked with Santi Santamaria in the Rac\u00f3 de Can Fabes.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"result_box\" class=\"\" lang=\"en\" tabindex=\"-1\">Another school alumni, <strong>Joel Castany\u00e9<\/strong>, has been awarded for his first Michelin star with the restaurant <strong>La Boscana, Bellv\u00eds (Lleida).<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"result_box\" class=\"\" lang=\"en\" tabindex=\"-1\"><span class=\"\">The event, which was held at the Mas Marroch de Girona, the venue for celebrations, large events and banquets of the restaurant El Celler de Can Roca, closes one more year to the Spanish gastronomy and becomes the olimpo of gastronomic geniuses.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"result_box\" class=\"\" lang=\"en\" tabindex=\"-1\"><span class=\"\">From Sant Pol we want to congratulate all the winners and we hope that in the next editions they will add new distinctions.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.lavanguardia.com\/comer\/al-dia\/20161123\/412103933005\/ganadores-premios-michelin-estrellas-2017.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Click for more information<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Two alumni of Sant Pol awarded in the gala of the Michelin Guide.
