{"id":51182,"date":"2018-02-09T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2018-02-08T23:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.santpol.edu.es\/mas-entrevistas-alumno-las-jornadas-desarrollo-profesional-2018\/"},"modified":"2018-02-09T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2018-02-08T23:00:00","slug":"mas-entrevistas-alumno-las-jornadas-desarrollo-profesional-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.santpol.edu.es\/en\/blog\/mas-entrevistas-alumno-las-jornadas-desarrollo-profesional-2018\/","title":{"rendered":"More interviews per student in the Professional Development Days 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><strong>The main objective of the Professional Development Days (PDD) is to assure our graduating students a future employment (with an appropriate career plan)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/santpol.edu.es\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>University College of Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts<\/strong><\/a> of Sant Pol de Mar (EUHT StPOL) has successfully held the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/santpol.edu.es\/en\/home\/presentation\/professional-development-meetings-pdm\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Professional Development Days<\/a> (JDP)<\/strong>. During two days, more than <strong>60 students<\/strong> of the Hotel-School have had the opportunity to <strong>meet<\/strong> with the Human Resources Managers of international hospitality and restoration chains.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>hotel groups<\/strong> that have participated this year are: Barcel\u00f3 Hotels &amp; Resorts, Catalonia Hotels &amp; Resorts, H10 Hotels, Iberostar, Jumeirah, Kempinski, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, Marriott International, NH Hotel Group, Paradores and RIU Hotels &amp; Resorts.<\/p>\n<p>The event, which is the most important of the year, is the biggest <strong>showcase<\/strong> for students and, at the same time, represents a <strong>source of talent<\/strong> for companies. The invited hotel groups come to the Hotel-School with the aim of recruiting students for a six-month internship. In most cases, these practices become an <strong>employment contract<\/strong> with an appropriate career plan.<\/p>\n<p>One more year, we can say that the <strong>Professional Development Days<\/strong> have succeeded for both parts: both for companies and for students.<\/p>\n<p>In total, <strong>11 hotel chains<\/strong> have visited us and they have done more than <strong>300 interviews <\/strong>among the more than <strong>60 participating students<\/strong>. There has been an average of <strong>5.1 interviews <\/strong>per student, exceeding the average of the last edition (4.7). These have been the results per program:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>7.3 meetings <\/strong>per student of the <a href=\"http:\/\/santpol.edu.es\/en\/studies\/bachelor-degree-in-hospitality-and-tourism-management\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>4.9 meetings <\/strong>per student of the <a href=\"http:\/\/santpol.edu.es\/estudios\/master-in-hospitality-management\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Master in Hospitality Management<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>4.3 meetings<\/strong> per student of the <a href=\"http:\/\/santpol.edu.es\/estudios\/master-en-artes-culinarias-y-direccion-de-cocina\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">M\u00e1ster en Artes Culinarias y Direcci\u00f3n de Cocina<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>5.2 meetings <\/strong>per student of the <a href=\"http:\/\/santpol.edu.es\/en\/studies\/technical-degree-in-gastronomy-and-restaurant-service\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Technical Degree in Kitchen and Gastronomy and Restaurant Service<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>2.5 meetings <\/strong>per student of the <a href=\"http:\/\/santpol.edu.es\/master-in-culinary-arts-and-kitchen-management-english\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Master in Culinary Arts and Kitchen Management<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>From EUHT StPOL we are grateful to receive the visit of the hospitality brands and want to wish the best to our students both in final internship and for the future opportunities at these companies.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;17739&#8243;
