{"id":51202,"date":"2018-03-21T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2018-03-20T23:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.santpol.edu.es\/dos-alumnas-3o-del-grado-gestion-hotelera-turistica-representan-euht-stpol-la-conferencia-anual-hsd-berlin\/"},"modified":"2022-05-31T15:05:18","modified_gmt":"2022-05-31T13:05:18","slug":"dos-alumnas-3o-del-grado-gestion-hotelera-turistica-representan-euht-stpol-la-conferencia-anual-hsd-berlin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.santpol.edu.es\/en\/blog\/dos-alumnas-3o-del-grado-gestion-hotelera-turistica-representan-euht-stpol-la-conferencia-anual-hsd-berlin\/","title":{"rendered":"Two students from the 3rd course of the Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management represent EUHT StPOL at the HSD Annual Conference (Berlin)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>During the event, the students have had the chance to be involved with HSD and to make an important network with the student board and the directive board<\/h3>\n<p>For the third year, the <strong>Hotel Schools of Distinction (HSD)<\/strong> board invited a delegation of students of each hospitality management university to join the conference that takes place in on of the HSD members.\u00a0 In this case, the organizers were IUBH &#8211; Berlin Campus.\u00a0 Therefore, ourselves (<strong>Laura Risquez<\/strong> and <strong>Laura Triadu<\/strong> -3rd year Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management students) joined our Director, <strong>Mr. Llu\u00eds Serra<\/strong> (Executive Secretary of HSD) to the event that took place in <strong>Berlin<\/strong> on <strong>March 8th and 9th<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>During these days, we had the chance to personally meet not only the representative students from those universities but also their\u00a0 Deans and Managing Directors.\u00a0 For this event, the represented institutions were <strong>Indiana University<\/strong>, <strong>Florida International University and Niagara University<\/strong> (USA), <strong>Hotelschool The Hague<\/strong> (Netherlands),<strong> IUBH<\/strong> (Germany), <strong>Haaga Helia<\/strong> (Finland), <strong>ITQH<\/strong> (Canada), and the new joining member <strong>Dublin Institute of Technology<\/strong> (Ireland)<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>The relate of our students <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/santpol.edu.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/2.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-17867\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-17867 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/santpol.edu.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/2-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"2\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a>We had the pleasure to work aside with students from other universities to improve the HSD brand. After 2 days of <strong>discussions<\/strong> and <strong>debates<\/strong> about the HSD, the conclusions reached by the student board to <strong>ameliorate and increase the awareness of HSD<\/strong>, which can be applied to each student from each school is starting raising recognition of these alliance and brand through our social media sites, to do so, we would like you to share and like the official <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/HotelSchoolsDistinction\/\">HSD Facebook page<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/hotelschoolsofdistinction\/\">Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>We had an amazing <strong>experience<\/strong> sharing time with incredible students from different cultures and University programs, that brought us a distinct perspective of other <strong>educational systems<\/strong>, <strong>manners of learning <\/strong>and<strong> communicating<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Not only we had the chance to be involved with HSD, but the <strong>network<\/strong> made during these days with the <strong>student board<\/strong> and the <strong>directive board<\/strong> is invaluable.<\/p>\n<p>Besides the hard work, we had the opportunity to have a private tour of <strong>Berlin<\/strong> and a visit to <strong>The Ritz-Carlton Berlin<\/strong> and to taste a cocktail in the <strong>Fragrances Bar<\/strong>, the first bar in the world to harmoniously combine perfumes and their aromas with cocktails.<\/p>\n<p>This has been an excellent event which one of us, to maintain continuity, will have the possibility of returning to the HSD board meeting next year, accompanied with one of the 3rd year students which will be decided the following school year.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>About HSD<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Hotel Schools of Distinctions (HSD) is a group of distinguished hotel management that lead the hospitality management education in their countries\/states.\u00a0 Those top 10 universities are considered among the best in the world.\u00a0 The its aim is to exchange knowledge, students, professors, research, curricula recognition, educational know how,\u00a0 and industry connections.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] During the event, the students have had the chance to be involved with HSD and to make an important network with the student board and<span class=\"excerpt-hellip\"> [\u2026]<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":4152,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[2436,2434,1934],"tags":[3991,3530,3531,2614],"class_list":["post-51202","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news-home","category-notices","category-noticias-euht-stpol","tag-conference","tag-hotels-school-of-distinction","tag-hsd","tag-ritz-carlton"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.8 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>Two students from the 3rd course of the Bachelor&#039;s Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management represent EUHT StPOL at the HSD Annual Conference (Berlin) - St. POL Hospitality &amp;
