So to accommodate this new guest profile, commercial hotels<\/strong> emerged.<\/p>\n The first was the Statler Hotel<\/strong>, designed by Ellsworth Statler and opened in 1908 in the city of Buffalo, New York, and it was a pioneer in incorporating the private bathroom in the rooms<\/strong>.
