And subsequently, they have defended it in front of the jury chaired by the <strong>chef Fina Puigdevall<\/strong>, recognized with two Michelin stars, one Michelin green star and three Soles Repsol for her restaurant Les Cols (Olot).<\/p>\n<p>The jury has valued aspects such as the technique and skill, the creativity and originality of the proposal, the flavors, the presentation and the history and narrative of the recipe, among others.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;56918&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2><strong>&#8220;Vermut en tres mossegades&#8221;:<\/strong><strong> the recipe with the highest overall score<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The prizes have been distributed in 4 categories. After the deliberation of the jury, the &#8220;vermut en tres mossegades&#8221;, presented by Ra\u00fal Gisbert, student of the <a href=\"https:\/\/santpol.edu.es\/en\/technical-degree-in-gastronomy-and-restaurant-service\/\">Technical Degree in Gastronomy and Restaurant<\/a> Service was the recipe with the highest overall score and received the Absolute Prize of the Catalan Young Chef Award delivered, on this occasion, by the president of the jury, the chef Fina Puigdevall.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;56947&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221;][vc_column_text]As the winner of the contest, Ra\u00fal Gisbert will represent Catalonia in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.europeanyoungchefaward.org\/\"><strong>European Young Chef Award (EYCA)<\/strong><\/a> that will take place next November in Norway. The European Young Chef Award brings together regional competition winners from across Europe and aims to promote innovations in traditional cuisine, highlight sustainable food cultures and create future chef ambassadors for local regions and food products.<\/p>\n<p>The participation of the representative of Catalonia in the European Young Chef Award (EYCA) is promoted by PRODECA and the Ag\u00e8ncia Catalana de Turisme, as members of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.europeanregionofgastronomy.org\/\">European Regions of Gastronomy<\/a>.[\/vc_column_text][vc_gallery interval=&#8221;3&#8243; images=&#8221;56915,56930,56927,56933&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; onclick=&#8221;&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Awards for skill, creativity and best presentation<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The Award for <strong>skill and best technique<\/strong> went to \u201cDe l\u2019Anoia al plat, gastronomia circular amb conill d\u2019ulls negres\u201d prepared by Julia Caparros, a CETT student. She has received the award by Mrs. Rosa Mayordomo, President of the Catalan Academy of Gastronomy and Nutrition.<\/p>\n<p>Eva Sanchez, a student from the Bisbe Sivilla Institute, has won the <strong>Imagination and Creativity Award<\/strong> with the dish entitled \u201cNespra\u201d. She has received the award by Mrs. Carme Rubi\u00f3, member of the General Directorate of Tourism of the Government of Catalonia.<\/p>\n<p>Lastly, the award for the<strong> Best Presentation<\/strong> went to Lucia Garcia, from the Joviat school, for the recipe entitled \u201cTortellinis de m\u00fargoles amb crema d\u2019esp\u00e0rrecs amb punts i xips de remolatxa\u201d. The award was given to her by the mayor of Sant Pol de Mar, Mr. Albert Zanca.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;56921&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221;][vc_column_text]The Catalan Young Chef Award is part of the University Gastronomy Day, which this year has celebrated its 41st edition.
