This is the variety of summer internship destinations for the different academic programs\u2019 students at EUHT StPOL. They are going to <\/span><b>prestigious hotels and restaurants<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to carry on the learning-by-doing methodology and gain real experience in hotel and restaurant management.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you want to know the details, keep reading!<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The tourism industry keeps on firmly <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.unwto.org\/news\/tourism-set-to-return-to-pre-pandemic-levels-in-some-regions-in-2023\"><b>recovering the economic activity<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> prior to the 2020 pandemic while maintaining a high employment demand. The career and internship plans of the main hotel chains allow our students to continue their training and join the professional world.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once again the students of the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/santpol.edu.es\/en\/bachelor-degree-in-hospitality-and-tourism-management\/\"><b>Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Hotel and Tourism Management<\/b><\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/santpol.edu.es\/en\/master-in-hospitality-management\/\"><b>Master in Hospitality Management<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are doing their summer internships in prestigious hotels and restaurants around the world. They are hired as assistants to management, in the quality department, food and beverage, housekeeping, reception, or in the kitchen of gastronomic restaurants with Michelin stars.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On this <\/span><b>interactive map,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> you can consult in detail the summer internship destinations of our students.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_raw_html]JTNDcCUzRSUzQ2lmcmFtZSUyMHNyYyUzRCUyMmh0dHBzJTNBJTJGJTJGd3d3Lmdvb2dsZS5jb20lMkZtYXBzJTJGZCUyRmVtYmVkJTNGbWlkJTNEMVNvRFdhako5aG4yd0VBeHBuaGRXWmQzSFdsVko2ZmMlMjZlaGJjJTNEMkUzMTJGJTIyJTIwd2lkdGglM0QlMjI2NDAlMjIlMjBoZWlnaHQlM0QlMjI0ODAlMjIlM0UlM0MlMkZpZnJhbWUlM0UlM0MlMkZwJTNF[\/vc_raw_html][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h3><b>Acquiring international experience<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Second and third-grade students are having either their first or second experience outside the EUHT StPOL training school. This means they will enjoy a very enriching experience as they open up to new challenges and discover new hospitality cultures. <\/span><b>France, Italy, the United States, Dubai, Costa Rica, Japan and Tanzania<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are some of the countries where they have gone to work, mainly in global hotel groups such as Marriott International, Four Seasons, Jumeirah, Six Senses, H10, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, Kempinski or RIU, among others. One of the most outstanding aspects of these experiences is that it allows them to learn more about themselves, and gain self-awareness of what they want to do and what tasks they like best. Also, their expertise gained in our training school with real guests makes them very competitive and <\/span><b>they can assume greater responsibilities<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> wherever they go, compared to other interns.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;59501&#8243; img_size=&#8221;720&#215;480&#8243;][vc_column_text]<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For example, <\/span><b>Maria <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">is a 2nd-year student of the Bachelor&#8217;s in Hotel and Tourism Management and is having her first internship in one of the largest resorts in North America, the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wildernessresort.com\/\" class=\"broken_link\"><b>Wilderness Resort<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, located in Wisconsin, United States. After going through all the <\/span><b>F&amp;B<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> departments during initial training, she was promoted to be one of the team leads with supervision responsibilities: \u201cStudying at the Sant Pol School of Hospitality Management<\/span><b> helped me to adapt faster<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and I could deal with this challenge in a more manageable and enjoyable way.\u201d<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h3><b>Stepping into the labor market<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On the other hand, some of the students who are finishing their studies now go to their destinations with an <\/span><b>employment contract or through a career plan,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> meaning they have a very good opportunity to join the hotel after the internship.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Cl\u00e0udia<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a 4th-year student, did two internships and went on an Erasmus exchange program to France. Now she is starting yet another professional chapter at the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.marriott.com\/es\/hotels\/sjojw-jw-marriott-guanacaste-resort-and-spa\/overview\/\"><b>JW Marriot in Guanacaste<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Costa Rica. She is in the <\/span><b>sales department<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> supervising guest group events within the hotel and the schedule they follow during their stay: &#8220;I arrived when the amount of work was at its peak and I was allowed to take on more responsibilities, which is <\/span><b>helping me to grow professionally<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. In addition, my adaptation has been much easier thanks to the previous experience I already had from the practices carried out during my studies.\u201d<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;59504&#8243; img_size=&#8221;720&#215;480&#8243;][vc_column_text]<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cI chose this internship because it is a unique experience in a JW hotel. Also, the conditions they offered me are very good, and the opportunity to travel to another country and learn with a global hotel chain is a great experience, both professionally and personally.\u201d, she says.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All last-year students take part in the <\/span><b>Professional Development Days<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, an exclusive EUHT StPOL yearly event in which interviews are held between HR representatives from international hotel chains and our students. From there, internship opportunities and possibilities to enter <\/span><b>professional career plans<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> within the sector arise.
