19 June, 2025Which are the world’s 50 best hotels?
23 June, 2025Internationality is one of the most important points in the hospitality sector. Having international experience is key to getting to know other cultures, other methodologies and ways of working in the sector. For all future professionals who are studying to work in the hotel and/or gastronomy sector, it is a plus, it provides a broader and more global vision that will allow them to acquire new knowledge, put into practice what they have learned and reinforce their formative journey.
At EUHT StPOL, our students from the bachelor’s, technical and master's degree not only do internships at the hotel-school during the course, but during the summer months they also have the opportunity to do international internships. This summer our students are heading to a total of 17 countries for their internships:
If we look by continent, we can see that most of the students will do their internships in Europe, followed by South America, North America, Asia, Central America and Africa. International destinations that are sure to reinforce and broaden their knowledge during their training.
The importance of international internships in the hospitality sector
At EUHT StPOL we are committed to theoretical and practical training, using the learning by doing method. Our students not only do internships from day one in our hotel-school, but also have several international experiences during their time at the school. In the Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality and Culinary Management, students have up to 3 international internship experiences, in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th year. In the Technical Degree in Gastronomy and Restaurant Service, international internships can be done in the 2nd and 3rd year. And in the case of the Masters, both in the Master in Hospitality Management and the Master in Culinary Arts, Innovation and Kitchen Management, students do their internships during the summer after finishing their studies.
In addition, the Professional Development Days (PDD) offer final year and Master's students the opportunity to interview with the most important hotel chains in the world in order to obtain internship offers and employment contracts. A great opportunity to start immersing themselves in the workplace.
