Mario Castrellón, EUHT StPOL’s alumni and chef of Maito restaurant in Panama continues to climb positions on the Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants list. He has recently been named the 17th best restaurant in Latin America and it is the only representative of Panama on this list.
Mario Castrellón is part of the alumni quarry of the University College of Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts of Sant Pol de Mar (EUHT StPOL) that up to this day has a recognized trajectory in the gastronomy and culinary arts sector. He was a student of the 2004 promotion of the Technical Degree in Gastronomy and Restaurant Service at the Hotel-School of Sant Pol de Mar (Barcelona) and makes us very happy to know that Maito restaurant in Panama has been considered the 17th best restaurant in the Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants 2019.
The gala, held on October 10th in Buenos Aires (Argentina) recognized the role of Mario Castrellón as “the first to plant the seeds of a new Panamanian cuisine with a modern vision”. Maito restaurant is the only one in Panama that is part of the Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants list in 2019. In fact, Maito has been recognized for four consecutive years as one of the best restaurants in Latin America.
