What image are we conveying? What it says from us the way we dress? How can we transmit a sense of professionalism in the field of hospitality and tourism? These are some of the keys to the professional image seminar taught by Àngels Llimargas and attended by students of the Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management. The activity is part of the PERSONAL BRANDING project promoted by EUHT StPOL with the aim to train professionals in the hospitality sector with all the guarantees.
“Image is communication.” This core idea has been the starting point of the professional image seminar taught by coach Àngels Llimargas to the first year students of the Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management of the University College of Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts of Sant Pol de Mar (EUHT StPOL).
According to Llimargas, “the appearance is 70% of the image that we transmit to others”, a figure that denotes the importance of this aspect in the personal and professional field. We also have to add aspects such as verbal and nonverbal language, which together determine the image we project to others. It is part of our personal branding, that is, our footprint, what they will say about us when we are not in front.
