Our students at Erasmus

Like every year, some of our students participate in the Erasmus program and have a new international experience while developing their university studies. We have asked some EUHT StPOL students and this is what they have told us.

Going on Erasmus has many benefits, both personally and professionally. On the one hand, getting to know new cultures, traveling, perhaps learning a new language and creating new friendships provide personal growth, which is later reflected in soft skills that will be highly valued during their career.

This is what our student Tania, who is at the Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences in Helsinki, highlights. This experience has given her “job opportunities, improving her language skills and knowledge of various cultures.”

Angela, is another EUHT StPOL student who is studying abroad, specifically at the Free University of Language and Communication of Milan (IULM). For her, Erasmus “is a challenge to learn a new language, living its culture in an international city like Milan and having the opportunity to experience large-scale events on a weekly basis.” Also, she adds: “Erasmus helps me grow personally and academically since it is an opportunity that allows me to get used to the international life that I am looking for”.

At a professional level, exchanges between universities allow for obtaining different points of view in the student’s educational development, with different professionals, environments and learning methods. This is underlined by Claudia who is doing an exchange at the École de Management at Hôtellerie-Restauration de Savignac. “Learning in a new environment with a different system”, she tells us, is going to help her achieve her goal of specializing in hotel management.

EUHT StPOL student Valeria, who is also in Helsinki, highlights the academic and professional contacts she is making. The most important thing that will help you in your career is networking: “Being on Erasmus not only allows you to meet students but also professors and professionals from the sector who are willing to guide you and train you so that in the near future you can obtain an internship, opportunities or jobs in Finland or outside the country”.

With the EUHT StPOL University Degree in Hotel and Tourism Management, you can have at least 4 international experiences, including external internships in hotel chains and university exchange programs.
